Telangana: Action on former MP after cop's Facebook post to quit job
Hyderabad: A police inspector who was allegedly abused by senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao, took to Facebook and threatened to resign.
Inspector Palaparthy Sudhakar, who was posted at the media point at Assembly, alleged that he felt Mr Rao had abused him because he belonged to the SC community.
The inspector alleged that Mr Rao used “abusive, offensive and obscene” words. Following a complaint from the ins-pector, Saifabad police booked a case against the Congress leader for abusing and deterring the officer from discha-rging his official duty.
Eyewitnesses said Mr Rao had come to talk to journalists at the media point. As only MLAs and MLCs are allowed in the area, the inspector did not let Mr Rao, a former MP, to enter.
A furious Rao started abusing him and his family, he said.
“I am going to resign from my job shortly. He (Rao) abused me in vulgar language. Our people (referring to police higher officials) taking it easy,” Mr Sudhakar wrote in a series of Facebook posts.
Another post indicated that Mr Rao abused the inspector referring to his mother. The inspector said he felt bad that he was abused while many were watching.
