Two days after Brussels blasts, Air India gets threat call from London

The caller told Mumbai AI office that bombs are planted in AI flights and those will explode any time.

Chennai: After receiving a bomb threat call at the Air India office in Mumbai from an unknown caller from London, all AI flights in all the airports the country were inspected by the bomb squads. The caller told Mumbai AI office that bombs are planted in AI flights and those will explode any time.

With Brussels blasts fresh in mind, AI headquarters informed all airports about the threat call. “We checked the aircraft, which were ready to take off from Chennai airport and found nothing unusual. After checking was completed all flights took off to their destinations. No flight was cancelled,” an AI official said here.
