K Chandrasekhar Rao’s help sought to ‘save Amaravati’
VIJAYAWADA: Amaravati Parirakshana Samiti JAC (APSJAC) has decided to meet Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) to urge him to use his good offices to ensure that Amaravati stays as the only capital of Andhra Pradesh.
APSJAC leaders said that they will intensify the ongoing ‘save Amaravati’ movement as part of which they will petition KCR and his party MP K Keshava Rao seeking support to Amaravati. They are also planning to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on March 2 and 3.
Addressing a press meet here on Monday, APSJAC Krishna convener RV Swamy and APSJAC woman JAC leader Sunkara Padmasree said that pro-Amaravati farmers have decided to intensify their agitations vexed with the adamant attitude of the YSRC government.
