Congress will move court: K Muraleedharan

The YC worker who was hacked to death last year by CPM's goons, are also involved in the current double murder case.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior Congress MLA K. Muraleedharan said here at Indira Bhavan on Sunday that the Congress has decided to approach the court seeking a CBI probe into the killings of two Youth Congress workers at Periya in Kasaragod on last Sunday. He alleged that the ongoing police probe is inefficient.

Mr. Muraleedharan also alleged that the culprits behind the S. P. Shuhaib murder, the YC worker who was hacked to death last year by CPM's goons, are also involved in the current double murder case.

"Periya double murder case is a quotation given by the CPM district leadership. It should be recalled that Kannur CPM lobby was behind several political murders including that of RMP leader, T. P. Chandrasekharan. We need nothing short of a CBI probe", said Mr. Muraleedharan.

He added that Congress will take every step to have a CBI probe. He also came down heavily against CPM leader in Kasargod V. P. P. Mustafa who had unleashed a vitriolic speech. "P. Karunakaran CPM MP and K. Kunhiraman MLA visited the house of the accused, Peethambaran to sabotage the police probe. Congress will launch an intense campaign against the political murders in the State", he added
