CM Pinarayi Vijayan to open projects in Alappuzha
ALAPPUZHA: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate a slew of projects as part of 1,000-day celebration of the Left Democratic Front government on Monday. At 9 am, Mr. Vijayan will launch the Pilgrim Tourist Felicitation Centre at Kanichulangara temple premise. Devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran preside over the function.
The project was launched with the intention of setting up shelters connected to temple rituals. The project introduced by the tourism department also targets tourists who visit the Mararikulam beach.
The inauguration of Non Beta Lactum Plant at Kerala State Drug and Pharmaceuticals (KSDP) campus will be held at 9.30am.
At 2.30 pm an employment scheme for women from fisher folks will be inaugurated at Town square. The inauguration of enterprises by women from fishing community will be held at the function. Fisheries Minister J. Mercykutty Amma will preside over.
A Coir Museum Complex project to be set up under heritage project will be launched at Coir Corporation headquarters here at 3pm. Ministers E.P.Jayarajan, G.Sudhakaran, T.M. Thomas Isaac, and P. Thilothaman will attend the function. At 3.15pm a road development project and canal rejuvenation project will be launched at a function to be held at E.M.S. Stadium.
Construction work of Udayakmar district stadium project will be launched in Chengannur at 4pm . The stadium with global standard will be built spending Rs 41.49 crore allocated by the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board.
At 5pm construction work of leprosy sanatorium specialty hospital will be kicked off at the sanatorium campus. The project was launched with Rs 40.30 crore under NABARD scheme.
In Kayamkulam, CM will inaugurate women polytechnic building complex at 6 pm. Apart from this, inauguration of backwater tourism project and cultural centre at Krishnapuram will be held.
