Vijayawada: Srimannarayana, who approached NGT against the construction of the Capital city, demanded the state government to follow the NGT verdict.
He raised objection over location of the chief minister's residence -- 100 mts from Krishna river, which is against the NGT verdict. He lamented that even other guidelines were not being followed.
Speaking to the media, Tatababu, who had accompanied Mr Sriman-narayana, said the CRDA had laid road in his land in Mandadam without his consent.
He even alleged that his 18.56 acres was shown in some other’s name and that it is being leased to the CRDA. Mr Srimannarayana said the NGT had directed the authorities not to disturb the Kondaveeti Vagu basin, but the state government is not abiding by the directives, and also mentioned about forming executive and supervision committees, about which there are no reports.
Coming to the issue mentioned by Mr Tatababu, he told of complaining about it to the President of India about tampering of land records, and keeping the issue in the notice of Chief Secretary. He expressed agony over the CRDA for treating him harshly and ignoring his complaints. He said then he was living in Chennai as his children were pursuing academics there, and by the time, he knew of the issues, everything spiralled out of hands.
