University of Hyderabad Professors say engage students'

Hyderabad: ABVP leader N. Susheel Kumar submitted a memorandum to the one-man judicial commission probing the suicide of UoH scholar Rohith Vemula on Wednesday. He was accompanied by a few ABVP leaders to the Golden Threshold campus of the university.

ABVP leaders said Justice Ashok Kumar Roopanwal (Retd) did not ask any questions. Susheel presented his version, a student leader said.

The teaching faculty emphasized on zero political interference in universities. They said counselling and grievance committees should be strengthened for them engage in discussions with students. A few teachers, the anti-ragging committee and chief warden deposed before the commission. About 25 persons deposed before the commission on its last day in the city.
