Hyderabad: Lab technician misbehaves with patient, booked
Hyderabad: A lab technician working at Vijaya Diagnostic Centre in Vijayanagar Colony has been booked for reportedly misbehaving with a female patient while performing a CT scan.
The police registered a case of ‘outraging the modesty of a woman’ against the technician and are investigating.
Humayunnagar police inspector K. Sunil said the young woman, aged about 20, went to Vijaya Diagnostic Centre on Wednesday. Veera Babu, a technician employed at the centre, took some tests and then accompanied her for a CT scan.
While performing the scan, Veera Babu reportedly touched the girl inappropriately on her private parts and outraged her modesty.
On hearing her screams, other patients and her relatives rushed in and beat up Veera Babu before handing him over to the police.
The inspector said that a case has been registered under Section 354 of the IPC.
