THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala on Wednesday asked CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan to reveal the source of the money invested by his son for his business abroad.
Chennithala demanded here that allegations should be probed by enforcement department in detail. He accused Kodiyeri of trying to trivialise the allegations.Since the case is very grave the chief minister and CPM leadership should respond on the matter.
Congress leaders Rajmohan Unnithan and Joseph Vazhakkan demanded a detailed probe into the allegations against Kodiyeri Balakrishnan's son. The Congress leaders pointed out that since Kodiyeri had himself mediated in the issue, the CPM top leadership cannot shy away from its responsibility.
They said the people of the state would like to know the source of crores being invested by the CPM state secretary’s son in business interests abroad.
The Congress leaders reminded the CPM of its own rectification document which had clearly stated that top leadership of the party and their family members should keep off shady financial deals, extravagant life style and fraudulent activities.
The CPM leadership owes an explanation to the people of the state about the financial deals of the children of top party leaders.
