Vizag Anganwadi Workers Protest on One Leg

Visakhapatnam: Vizag anganwadi workers stood on one leg to mark their protest on the 13th day of the state-wide strike of anganwadi workers on Sunday. The anganwadi workers held their protest at the GVMC Gandhi statue demanding that the problems of anganwadis be resolved.

Tulsi, the leader of the Anganwadi union, said “The government is being indifferent towards the problems of the anganwadis. We make it very clear that the movement will not stop until our problems are resolved.”

They demanded that the government should stop spreading misinformation about anganwadis. AIDWA leader Anuradha, AP Mahila Samaikya Vimala, POW leader M. Lakshmi, Jana Sena Veera Mahila Ushakiran and others expressed solidarity with the strike.
