Will make KCR join Cong, but won't leave party: Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy

He said, “I will make Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao join the Congress but I will never join the TRS,” he said.

Hyderabad: Newly elected Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy has alleged that the leaders of Telangana Rashtra Samiti were intentionally spreading rumours that he was joining the ruling party. He said, “I will make Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao join the Congress but I will never join the TRS,” he said.

Mr Rajagopal Reddy, who met workers of the Congress and Prajakutami belonging to Manugodu constituency on Sunday, lashed out at the TRS, saying that their leaders had made false allegations before the elections and were now spreading rumours to target him.

Addressing the meeting, Mr Rajagopal Reddy said, “TRS leaders said that the people of Manugodu would have to rush to Hyderabad when they need to meet me if I were elected as an MLA. They tried to spread this to defeat me in the election. However, the people of Manugodu have discounted their words. I will be available in the constituency always. The new allegation is that I’m joining the TRS. If needed, I will make KCR to join Congress. But, I will never leave the party.”

He added, “Though there is a TRS government in the state, Manugodu has the government of the Congress. The people of Manugodu have rejected the TRS for grabbing lands and other irregularities. I will pressurise the government for the completion of Mission Bhagiratha. Though I have three years left as an MLC, I have contested in the Assembly elections to serve the people.”
