Visakhapatnam: Christmas carols ring in schools
Visakhapatnam: Christmas was celebrated in all its grandeur at various schools in the city on Friday in Visakhapatnam, including Delhi Public School, Greendale School, Wonworld School in Lawson’s Bay Colony and Chaitanya Public School in Ukkunagaram. The presence of a Christmas tree along with the theme of Santa Claus added sparkle to the venues.
The enthusiastic students enthralled the audience with skits depicting Jesus Christ’s birth. The school choirs sang carols, which reverberated with the song “Jingle Bells”. The bonding between mother and child was once again reinforced with the different games conducted for them as a team at various schools. The celebrations appea-red like a huge fair celebrating joy, peace and goodwill.
Boys and girls were dressed in colourful costumes depicting San-tas, Angles, and Adam. The Kids exhibited their talent by colourful live scenes relating to the birth of Jesus Christ, where they dressed as the Shepherds, Angels, Mary, Joseph and Three Wise Men.
Chairman of the Green-dale Dr S. Ravindra congratulated all the students and asked them to emulate the teachings of Jesus. Correspondent Dr Vijaya Ravindra conveyed Christmas and New Year greetings to all the children. Thrill and excitement descended as Santa Claus came distributing sweets to everyone.
