Kozhikode: The Kerala Taxi Drivers Organisation will observe its foundation day on Saturday, November 24. As a part of it, taxi services all over state will provide a 10% reduction in the fares.
Sweets will be distributed and flags hoisted in all fourteen districts as part of KTDO foundation day. The organisation was formed in order to ensure job security and protection for taxi drivers in state.
KTDO also had recently come up with complaints against illegal private taxis, nearly 4000 of which are doing service within the state. They also said the online taxi services owned by foreign companies are making huge profits which go to their mother nation.
In order to divert this profit to within the state the organisation is also looking forward to introduce a domestic online taxi service application for the state the development of which is currently under process. Swapnesh Vengeri, Ranjith Mannasseri, Firdhouse Kodiyathur, Suraj Pukkad and Sadiq Thiruvambadi spoke at the pressmeet.
