HD Deve Gowda assures justice to farmers who affected by 'NICE project'
Bengaluru: JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda has assured all those affected by the NICE corridor project that action would taken to help them as per the House committee report.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Mr Gowda said that people who have been affected by NICE project had approached him seeking justice. About 17 acres from Pramod Layout and 50 acres from Hosakerehalli were acquired for the NICE highway project from Bengaluru to Mysuru.
State BJP president BS Yeddyurappa during his tenure as CM, had said that alternative land cannot be given to those who lost land, he said adding that irregularities had taken place at different times.
The JD(S)-Congress coalition government would resolve the issue and the CM and Deputy CM would hold a meet in this regard, assured Mr Gowda.
