Karnataka: Winter still 5 days away, says Srinivas Reddy
Bengaluru: The state has to wait for another 4-5 days for the winter to set in. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the city had recorded a maximum temperature of 29.3 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature of 19.5 degrees.
The director of Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDC), Srinivas Reddy, said, “At present the maximum temperature has gone up by two degrees than normal and even the minimum temperature has gone up. If the minimum temperature comes to 10 degrees, probably that could be a sign for the winter.” If there is no cloud formation the minimum temperature would drop, he added.
He elaborated that they have not declared the winter and the state have to wait for another five days as the same temperature will continue for a few days. He stated that the cloud formation has led to the increase in the temperature.The IMD has predicted that on Thursday there will be partly cloudy sky with the possibility of fog and mist in the morning.
