Karnataka has generated 13.91 lakh jobs in the last 4 years: Minister R V Deshpande
Bengaluru: A sprawling Aerospace Technology Centre set in over 40 acres of land was unveiled by Mr R.V. Deshpande, Minister for Large, & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development at Devanahalli at the Invest Karnataka Vendor Development and Investors Summit 2017 held at BIEC, on Thursday.
Built at a cost of Rs 90.5 crores, the facility will be an incubation facility for hundreds of start-ups and small-scale units in Bengaluru and adjoining areas.
“Karnataka has already generated 13.91 lakh jobs in the last four years and is inching closer towards meeting the government's target of creating 15 lakh jobs by 2019 in the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sectors and 1.88 lakh jobs in the large industries sector”, Mr. Deshpande said. Another 5.79 lakh jobs are in the pipeline, Deshpande told the two-day meet.
