Allow Inter Failed As 10th Pass For Jobs: Telangana HC

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court directed the recruitment wing of the state judicial, ministerial and subordinate services to consider Intermediate-failed candidates as 10th-pass for filling up posts of subordinates. The result shall not be declared without the leave of the court

The division bench headed by Chief Justice Alok Aradhe issued the interim order on a petition filed by Karishma, of Bhupalpally, challenging the district judicial administrative officer’s refusal of her application, citing she had studied Intermediate, while the requirement was Classes 7th-10th pass. It stated that a candidate with a qualification higher than than Class 10 pass shall not be eligible.

A recruitment notification was issued on January 2, 2023, for recruitment to 1,000 posts in 33 judicial district courts. Karishma submitted that had failed the Intermediate examination; as she had passed the Class 10 examination, she would be eligible. She said that despite qualifying, she had yet to be called for an interview.
