More than 5 varieties of fish killed in lake.
Hyderabad: In another suspected case of fish kill due to industrial pollution, some five tonnes of fish were found dead and floating at the Rayani cheruvu in the Jinnaram industrial area, 20 km from ORR limits of Hyderabad.
The said lake is upstream of the Gaddapotharam and Bollaram industrial area. The dead fish were washed ashore early Monday morning. Nine bulk drug manufacturers, including the pharmaceutical giant Hetero Drugs, and two engineering industrial units operate in the area.
