Hyderabad: Even as the Ganesh processions and immersions were still underway, the city witnessed sudden rain as the skies opened up towards the evening on Sunday. As per the India Meteorological Department, rain or thundershowers were predicted towards evening or night over the next week. While the central zone of the city witnessed heavy rainfall, the western and southern parts received a drizzle.
Jubilee Hills, Qutbullapur, Madhapur, Shapur received moderate rainfall while Golconda, Srinagar Colony, Ramchandrapuram, and Mehdipatnam received light rainfall. Parts of Begumpet, Musheerabad, Khairatabad, Bolaram, Secunderabad received rainfall.
The maximum rainfall was recorded at 25.3 mm at Jubilee Hills while Golconda recorded 14.5mm of rain.
