Hyderabad: An assistant sub-inspector of Komaravalli police station who was stationed at Habeebnagar for the Ganesh immersion procession died of a heart attack early on Sunday morning while he was on duty.
According to the police, Nimra Naik, 55, collapsed at about 4 am.
Habeebnagar inspector P. Madhukar Swamy said Naik had complained of chest pain and had fallen unconscious at around 4 am.
“He was rushed to the hospital with the help of officials where doctors declared him dead,” Mr Swamy said.
