Bengaluru: Free wifi across the city in 6 months, says Dr G Parameshwar

Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister Dr G. Parameshwar has said that free wifi will be provided in the city in another six months.

While inaugurating the new BBMP building and Atal Ji Auditorium and free wifi facility at Govindarajnagar assembly constituency, Dr Parameshwar said, "Like Govindarajnagar, free wifi will be provided for all the 198 wards. It was due to the vision of Bengaluru's founder Kempegowda, the city has etched a position for itself globally. It is one of the fastest developing cities in the world."

Taking exception to Optical Fibre Cables are being installed illegally in many places, he said such illegal OFCs will be removed.

Property tax
A firm decision has been taken with regard to property tax collection. "In this year, we have aimed to collect Rs 2,500 crore and officials are exploring all ways possible to augment property tax collection."To get rid of potholes in the city we have taken up white topping works stage by stage.
