Bengaluru: All potholes filled? You must be kidding!
Bengaluru: Though the deadline set by HC to fill potholes has ended, if you ask the citizens if their area is free from potholes, their reply will be an emphatic 'no'.
Citizens are demanding that the quality of works executed should be verified by experts, instead of just going by the random numbers submitted by the BBMP to the court.
Pandian, a resident of Vinayak Nagar said "BBMP will anyhow inform the court that it has filled all the potholes in the city. Instead of just going by the BBMP's version of filling of potholes without following any procedure and using construction debris and other wastes to just fill in the craters, experts should be allowed to examine the works executed."
On some of the stretches where BBMP claims it has actually filled potholes, citizens said they were still able to find many.
Keshav, a resident of Mavalli said, "Some potholes are filled on Lal Bagh Road starting from the Main Gate. But a ride on the road will let you know how hastily they have done the job as we could find many potholes on the stretch."
As on Saturday 763 potholes remain to be filled, out of a total of 2,277. There were no updates from the BBMP on the total potholes filled on Sunday.
