Hyderabad: The transport department is preparing a category-wise list of vehicles for assisting the immersion.
J. Pandurang Naik, joint transport commissioner, said, “This year, the demand has increased to 4,000 vehicles from Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medchal districts. We are trying to meet this demand. A meeting of the department and the Ganesh Utsav Committee will be held by month-end,” he said. Last year, the department provided 2,600 vehicles for the immersion within the GHMC limit.

“We will deploy the staff at the pooling centres from September 4,” Mr Naik said.
