Govt to look into issue of OBC quota

New Delhi: The Centre on Monday said that it will look into the issue of a section of backward castes not getting equal benefits of reservation in jobs, despite being in the same schedule.

Minister of state for social justice Rattan Lal Kataria said in Lok Sabha during question hour that under the existing scheme, an Scheduled Caste or Other Backward Class if migrated to another state is not entitled to reservation benefits of the migrated state but can get benefits in the state of origin and in the central government. “We will examine the suggestion of the honourable member,” he said in a reply to aquestion.
