Self-discipline while using social media is important

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad city police on Monday conducted an awareness programme about on issues related to ragging and harassment. The programme was attended by over 1,000 students from different schools and colleges. Ms Shikha Goel, Additional Commissioner, Crimes, who was the chief guest for the event stressed upon the need to have anti-ragging committee in colleges and schools. She also spoke about the importance of self discipline when using social media in order to avoid any ill-practices which may cause harm to others.

According to Ms C. Narmada, ACP, SHE teams, it is important for schools and colleges to inform students about the ill-affects of ragging and harassment.” The CCS Cyber Crime ACP informed the stiudents about the precautions to be taken to not fall prey for various fraudslike spoofing, morphing and job frauds. Ms Goel emphasised on the need of more active participation of students and college authorities in anti-ragging committees.

Top cops teach trainees tips on women’s safety

Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar along with Addl CP Crimes, Shikha Goel, and IGP, law & order and state coordinator for women safety, Swati Lakra interacted with 40 IPS probations from Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy at the Bharosa centre in city, explaining the implementation to brand Hyderabad city as the most safe and secure city in India.

The CP, Hyderabad, said that the government has been providing the police department with facilities like modern technology, patrol cars, police station modernisation and dial 100 facility and others. Swati Lakra explained to the officers about the concept, practice and all verticals available for women and children at the Bharosa Centre in Saifabad.
