Teacher's Eligibility Test: Maths paper tough, say candidates

The TET is the pre qualification for recruitment of teachers in government run schools.

Hyderabad: The maths paper was tough in the Teacher’s Eligibility Test written examination that was held on Sunday. The TET is the pre qualification for recruitment of teachers in government run schools.

Four candidates were not allowed into the exam centre at the Government Polytechnic College, Masab Tank, as they turned up late. These candidates said they had reached the centre in time but lost track of time with last-minute preparations.

In all, 1,11,647 candidates were allotted Paper I of whom 98,905 turned up. Paper-I dealt with child development and pedagogy, mathematics and environmental science.

As many as 2,56,265 candidates were alloted Paper- II of whom 2,30,881 were present.

Ms Sandhya Rani, a candidate, said, “The maths paper was quite tough when compared to other subjects and science paper was moderate.” She said she was appearing again for the exam to improve her performance.
