HMDA seeks 6 months for Layout Regularisation Scheme
Hyderabad: The HMDA has written to the government seeking six more months to dispose of Layout Regularisation Scheme applications.
HMDA said applicants were seeking more time to pay the charges to obtain final proceedings. Those who received shortfalls were unable to submit additional documents.
The HMDA has received 1.75 lakh applications for the LRS. HMDA commissioner T. Chiranjeevulu said shortfalls were found in over 85,000 applications. About 60,000 applications have been cleared for final proceedings while 25,000 were rejected, he said.
“The title of lands is not clear. They are found to be falling in assigned land, shikam lands, ceiling land etc. or existing in master plan routes. Those who are able to submit documents to back their claims will be considered for LRS,” an official said.
