Hyderabad: The state government's latest circular has thrown IAS officers and other secretariat staff into a quandary.
Addressing all secretaries, including special Chief Secretaries and principal secretaries, it said that no physical files should be shifted while relocating offices to the temporary secretariat at Velagapudi. The government said that the files which were required to be processed should be carried only in electronic form.
The important disposals, to be used for future reference, should also be scanned, and all departments should immediately start making arrangements to have this done.
The scanning process should be completed within a fortnight. A meeting with the IT director and the nodal officers of the departments has been scheduled on July 25.
