Meeting on Yettinahole soon: Oscar Fernandes

This has raised hopes among the activists that it would help them convince the govt about the adverse impact of the project on DK.

Mangaluru: Senior Congress leader Oscar Fernandes on Thursday promised the activists opposing the Yettinahole project that he would soon organise a meeting between them and the state government.

This has raised hopes among the activists that it would help them convince the government about the adverse impact of the project on Dakshina Kannada.

Mr Fernandes along with local leaders J.R. Lobo, Shakunthala Shetty and Ganesh Karnik attended a discussion on Yettinahole project where experts stated that Netravathi water was not sufficient for the project. They said the project would have its adverse impact on the Western Ghats.
