In AP, however, the severe heatwave warning for coastal Andhra and Rayalseema was withdrawn.

Hyderabad: Heatwave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Karimnagar and Warangal on Tuesday but there was rainfall at some other places in the state.

The heatwave warning that has been announced up to May 25 remains in place. There was no large change in the maximum temperatures in the state during the last 24 hours.

The highest maximum temperature of 45º Celsius was recorded at Hanamakonda and Ramagundam on Tuesday. The forecast for Hyderabad was partly cloudy sky with possibility of thunder and lightning. For the rest of the state, the IMD said light to moderate rain or thundershowers was very likely to occur at isolated places. Heatwave conditions were very likely to prevail at isolated places in all the districts of Telangana state, the IMD said.

In AP, however, the severe heatwave warning for coastal Andhra and Rayalseema was withdrawn.

The India Meteorological Department has announced a thunderstorm warning for some districts in AP that were recording temperatures above 46ºC over the last couple of days. Rainfall was reported in some places in AP.
