Hyderabad: Delegates attending an environmental water resource congress being held at Sacramento in the USA, appreciated Telangana Government’s prestigious drinking water project ‘Mission Bhagiratha’.
Delivering keynote address at the congress, Telangana minister K.T. Rama Rao told the delegates about the steps taken up by TS government in providing drinking water to rural areas. “The aim of Mission Bhagiratha is to supply drinking water to each household in the state. We have taken up the project following the Goal Number 6 of UNO Sustainable Develop-ment Goal. Simultaneously, the government is providing Internet facility along with the pipelines under the project. The Telangana Fiber Grid project will assist the government in boosting e-health and e-education. We have taken up Mission Kakatiya project to develop water re-sources for agriculture,” he said.
