Bengaluru: The results of Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) conducted for admissions to 17 National Law Universities (NLUs) were announced on Monday.
Viraj Ananth, a science stream student of Cambridge International Examinations system – A Level (class 12) and a student of Vidyashilp Academy, has secured the top national ranking. In his first attempt, he scored 174.5 for 200 marks. Viraj said that debates, combined study and his mentors at National Law Universities helped him crack the prestigious exam with flying colours.
Viraj, who took a year’s break to crack CLAT, said that he studied eight hours a day. He was also a recipient of the Harvard Model United Nations competition award last year. Vasavi Janak Khatri, a II PU commerce student from Christ Junior College, has secured 16th rank. Vasavi, who cracked the exam in her first attempt, said that she is interested in practicing law after graduation. “I studied for three hours,” she said.
DPS East student Mayank Jain who got the 40th rank had secured 96.4% in the recently announced CBSE class XII results. He said that he studied for eight hours a day and took a mock test every day.
