Venkataramana Reddy, his wife quit Congress; claim they were forced to leave

Warangal: Leaving the Congress was the least we would have imagined doing but the situations have turned that way and we are forced to join the TRS, said Bhupalpally MLA Gandra Venkataramana Reddy and his wife Gandra Jyothi.

After meeting TRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday, they officially announced their decision to the party workers on Tuesday.

Both the leaders convened a meeting with their followers at the Bhupalpally MLA camp office and turned emotional while speaking with them.

Mr Reddy said the Congress is like a mother to them. They are leaving the party against their will and he would not say a word against the party.

At the same time, he said he would not force any of his followers to join the party along with him. But those who decided to be with him would be taken care of by him without any injustice.
