Chennai: “Anything can happen in Modi's Government," tweeted Congress spokesperson Khushbu Sundar, ex-heroine of Kollywood, responding real quick to Shashi Tharoor's post on his twitter handle referring to a PTI report in Mathrubhumi on a snake slithering out of a VVPAT machine at a polling booth in Kannur Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday. The sight of the snake froze the booth officials and voting was held up till the snake was safely removed from the place.
For her harsh indictment of the Modi Government, Khushbu got heavily trolled, mostly from the saffron side. The critics posted not just their attacks on Khusbu but also targeted the Congress leadership, Rahul Gandhi in particular.
One twitterati wondered how Rahul had managed to get into the VVPAT machine while another said, "Just shows that all you politicians are as venemous , irrespective of which party u represent".
Many slammed Khushbu and Tharoor for representing the Congress culture of blaming everything on Modi. "How? A snake on VVPAT and you blame Modi…how? Does Narendra Modi supply VVPAT? Or snakes?"
These were responses of the 'polite class' while several others in the chain of tweets could make anyone go red in the face; rather very red in the face.
