10 deaths while polling was underway in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: At least ten deaths were reported from various places in the state on Tuesday while polling was underway for all 20 Lok Sabha seats.

In the second incident, a senior woman who had come to vote at Chokli in Vadakara constituency Kaajirathin Keezhil Mootoli Vijayi (66) collapsed and died.

She was standing on the queue at Ramavilasam Higher Secondary School 158 number booth.

In Kilikolloor of Kollam, Mani (63) collapsed and died while speaking with the polling officer after his name was missing on the electoral roll.

Kasaragod Pulloor native K.R. Baburaj died while going to the polling booth.

Palakkad Vadavannur native Malayambalath Mehabooba also died at the polling booth while indelible ink was being applied on her finger.

In Thalayolaparambu, Rosamma Ousep (84) died on her way to the polling booth. In Kannur district, Venugopala Marar (72) collapsed soon after he returned home after casting his vote.

Mattam Vadak Peringattam Pallil Prabhakaran (74) has died after collapsing in the same district.

In Thalassery constituency, Muslim league leader A.K. Musthafa (52) passed away at a polling station.
