Hyderabad: About 40 departments in Telangana have been mapped with various welfare schemes to achieve 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) envisaged by the UN General Assembly in September 2015. The goals include no poverty, zero hunger, quality education, among others.
Several welfare schemes being implemented by various departments have been mapped with each SDG goal. An SDG Monitoring and Policy Support Unit will be established to monitor the progress in achieving SDG goals.
