YSRC takes out Save Democracy' rally in Vizag

Chandrababu Naidu has been luring the opposition leaders by foisting false cases and offering huge packages.

Visakhapatnam: The TD is poaching MLAs from other parties in an anti-democratic way, said YSRC leader Botsa Satyanarayana. On Saturday, the district YSRC conducted a “Save Democracy” candle rally against the ruling TD government. Speaking on this occasion, Mr Satyanarayana alleged that TD is not adhering to the anti-defection law.

“If Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has confidence in his rule, he should seek fresh mandate for the YSRC defectors. Chandrababu Naidu has been luring the opposition leaders by foisting false cases and offering huge packages. The TD has concentrated only on luring MLAs from other parties, leaving the people of Andhra Pradesh in drought and water crisis,” said Mr. Satyanarayana.

On this occasion, Mr Satyanarayana said that they held the “Save Democracy” rally to bring the anti-democratic activities of the TDP to the notice of the people of Andhra Pradesh. “We would also stage a protest with empty pots in all Mandal and district headquarters on May 2 to showcase the government’s failure in dealing with drought and water crisis,” he added.

MLA Giddi Eswari, YSRC district president, Gudivada Amarnath, Ex-MLA Tynala Vijay Kumar and Malla Vijay Prasad and others were present.
