Hyderabad: Woman driver escapes Mercedes crash and burn
Hyderabad: A 29-year-woman escaped with minor injuries after the Mercedes SUV she was driving overturned a couple of times and rammed into a railing on the Outer Ring Road on Saturday afternoon.
The car was soon engulfed in fire and within a few minutes was completely burnt. Ms R. Udaya was driving the black Mercedes AMG – TS 07 EX 8055. The car is registered in the name of Raudra Edu Services, and is owned by her husband Mr Ravindra Babu, who is the owner of the online firm.
On Saturday morning, she was alone in the vehicle, driving on the Gachibowli to Airport route on the ORR. After crossing exit no 17 on the ORR, she took an exit off the road. “While taking the exit, she lost control at a steep curve and the car overturned twice and rammed the railing,” said Ramachandraiah, sub inspector from Rajendranagar police station.
She emerged safely from the car immediately after the crash. But meanwhile the car caught fire and passers-by who noticed the incident rushed Ms Udaya to a nearby private hospital, where she is said to be out of danger.
“Though there are not many injuries on her, she is still in shock and is under observation.” said one of her relatives. A case for causing hurt and vehicle damage has been registered.
