Red Hat ties up with Kerala Start Up Mission

The Red Hat partnership will also help engagement of its delivery partners in implementation of projects in the state.

Kochi: Red Hat, a provider of open source solutions, has agreed to work in collaboration with the International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS) and Kerala Start Up Mission (KSUM) to support the large community of start-ups and small and medium enterprises, as well as the open source community at large. As part of the initiative, Red Hat will provide its portfolio of technology into this zone and also membership and marketing support, besides setting up a FOSS entrepreneurship zone.

Red Hat will work with ICT Academy of Kerala in a massive skill development programme, reaching out to the engineering and interested science institutes in the state. This will be in addition to the minor degree programme proposed by ICFOSS to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. The Red Hat partnership will also help engagement of its delivery partners in implementation of projects in the state. The meeting on the sidelines of the #FUTURE Global Digital Summit was attended by Red Hat MD Rajeesh Rage and sales head Palashendu Battacharya. The Government side was headed by IT Secretary M. Sivasankar.
