Hyderabad: A three-month pregnant woman was allegedly murdered by her husband at Ravindernagar area of Asifnagar on Saturday morning.
According to officials, he smashed her head with a boulder and surrendered before the police. The accused was identified as Vijay Kumar, police said.
“Kumar picked up an argument with his wife Shalini and ended up attacking her in a fit of rage at around 7.30 am on Saturday, following which Shalini suffered bleeding injuries and died on the spot,” said Asifnagar police officials, adding that Kumar later surrendered before the police and confessed to the murder.
The police then visited the spot and examined it with the CLUES team.
A case was booked under Section 302 (murder) of IPC and an investigation was started. The body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem.
