Hyderabad: The city police questioned TD state working secretary B.N. Reddy regarding his association with NRI businessman Chigurupati Jayaram murder accused Rakesh Reddy.
The police has questioned eight persons and collected evidence from 60 people. The police is likely to make three more arrests.
It was also revealed that after murdering Jayaram, Rakesh Reddy invited his friends to come to his house for a party. His friends Naga, Venkatesh, Balvinder Singh and Shankar turned up, police said.
The Banjara Hills ACP investigating the case will question these friends. So far, Jayaram’s niece Shikha Choudhary, Ibrahimpatnam ACP Malla Reddy and Nallakunta circle inspector Srinivas have been questioned, among others.
Jayaram was reportedly lured to Rakesh Reddy’s residence on January 31 and killed for not repaying money he had borrowed. The body was disposed of on the Vijayawada highway. Rakesh Reddy and three others, Vishal, Srinivasulu and Nagesh, have arrested by the police in connection with the case.
