Student body can hold indoor meetings: Hyderabad High Court

Hyderabad: Hyderabad High Court on Friday permitted the Telangana Vidhyarthi Sangam to hold indoor meeting or hall meeting at Decent Function Hall Peddapally in Karimnagar on February 26 and directed them to conduct it without creating any law and order problems.

Justice A.V. Sesha Sai was dealing with a petition by Sangam president Kota Srinivas seeking to declare the action of the police authorities in not according permission to the meeting as illegal. When the judge sought response from the police authorities, government counsel submitted that if the petitioner held an indoor meeting the police had no objection, following which the judge granted permission.
