MLA N Shamsudheen distances himself from party worker

The MLA said that he did not have any personal connections with Ubaid.

Thrissur: IUML MLA N. Shamsudeen distanced himself from a party worker named Ubaid of Mukkali in Agaly who allegedly was involved in the thrashing of the tribal youth Madhu. The MLA said that he did not have any personal connections with Ubaid and was not aware of the photograph being circulated on social media where the MLA is seen standing with the alleged accused.

Ubaid, who is an active IUML worker, was on the forefront of the campaign for the MLA while he contested in the assembly elections from Mannarkkad segment and won the polls in 2016. The relatives of the victim who have started an indefinite protest in front of Agaly Police Station on Friday afternoon said that their demand included the arrest of Ubaid.
