THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In view of the rush of candidates for attesting Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from state government, special arrangements have been made at the secretariat. The UAE government has made PCC mandatory for jobs visas from February 4. Candidates who get the PCC have to get it attested by the state home department. According to an official statement, PCC and other certificates for government attestation could be submitted at Chief Minister's Complaints Cell near secretariat north block between 10.30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

All certificates would be attested and returned on the same day itself. The government also clarified that the certificates for attestations should not be given to any agents. In case friends or relatives of candidates are submitting the applications, copies of identity cards should be also submitted. A court fee stamp of `10 has to be affixed on applications. There are no other fees.
