Bengaluru: Almost a week after being brutally beaten by notorious Mohammad Nalapad Haris and his henchmen at a city cafe, Vidwath was facing difficulty in breathing, though his condition is said to be stable.
"Vidwath is having trouble breathing and that he has developed an eye infection due to severe clotting. He has sub-conjunctival haemorrhages, which means that there is internal bleeding under his face. This has led to the clotting. His cheekbones have been fractured too. He has high fever and is conscious, but unable to speak," said Dr Mallikarjuna.
The 24-year-old continues to be in the ICU of Mallya Hospital and the doctors are keeping a close watch on his parameters. His fourth to ninth ribs at the right side and fourth to eighth on the left side got fractured during the attack.
According to some family members of Vidwath, his parents are planning to take him either to Singapore or Mumbai for treatment. However, doctors are not advising the same.
