COIMBATORE: Security has been beefed up at Isha Yoga Centre here ahead of the Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi’s visit to unveil the 112-ft high ‘Adiyogi’ statue on Friday, in the presence of Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.
In view of the planned protests during the visit of Shri. Modi, the Coimbatore police have put in place unprecedented security measures to prevent any untoward incident. Several fringe outfits, Left parties and environment conservation groups have raised their pitch against Prime Minister participating in a religious event to unveil the huge bust of Lord Shiva, the source of ‘Yoga’.
Apart from political groups, the Madras High court’s former judge Mr. P Hari Paranthaman has also expressed his opposition to Shri. Modi participating in the function at the Isha Centre.
