YSRC MLA from Kadapa joins Telugu Desam
Vijayawada: In an yet another setback to Opposition party YSRC in Andhra Pradesh, one more MLA of the party joined Telugu Desam in the presence of the Chief Minister and TD chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday.
This time it was Jayaramulu Thiriveedi from Badvel constituency in Kadapa district which is the home district of YSRC chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He joined the ruling party at chief minister's residence.
"Badvel is backward constituency in the district. I resigned as a municipal commissioner and entered politics. CM has assured support to development of Dalits and also develop Rayalaseema. He also promised water to Rayalaseema through Pattiseema. After all such initiatives I have been attracted to the development and joined TD", Mr Jayaramulu said.
Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao said, after insensitive comments by YSRC chief Mr Jagan that he would take down the ruling party, four legislators joined the ruling party and Mr Jayaramulu who worked as government servant too joined TD.
"This is not the end and more legislators are in touch. Before the budget sessions itself many of them will join us", he said.
Earlier on Monday, four MLAs of YSRC in Rayalaseema Mr Bhuma Nagi Reddy, Ms Bhuma Akhila Priya, Mr Adi Narayana Reddy, Mr Sk Jaleel Khan joined TD.
