New Delhi: Highlighting the point that JNU students union leader Kanhaiya Kumar was beaten up by three lawyers, advocate Prashant Bhushan said, “Lawyers were seen boasting and bragging about their action. Time has come to take suo motu action of contempt proceedings against the three lawyers.”
“If it is same with the case of Kanhaiya also, that he was beaten up and assuming so that he was beaten up in police lock-up, people may brag,” Justice Chelameshwar observed.
Meanwhile, the bench directed that the face of the registrar-general of the Delhi HC should be “masked” before the video clippings were released to the media.
