Centre gives Rs 450 crore to Telangana districts

The Telangana government had sought Rs 700 crore.

Hyderabad: The Centre on Tuesday released Rs 450 crore for development works in six districts of Telangana. The government had sought Rs 700 crore.

The Centre specified that the the money should be spent in the drought-affected and under-developed districts of Adilabad, Medak, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar, Warangal and Khammam. According to Telangana state government sources, the grant would be used for Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha in the six districts.
