Hyderabad: Even as the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s enforcement wing has been removing encroachments, the sanitation wing of the civic body has been giving permission to structures on the footpaths.
Municipal administration principal secretary Arvind Kumar has instructed officials to remove a Loo Cafe set up on the footpath near the Secretariat.
Mr Kumar on Wednesday directed GHMC officials to remove Loo Cafe immediately from the footpath.
The principal secretary also advised the officials to ensure that the footpath space is not eaten up and all establishments have to be established by the side, not obstructing the little walking space available for pedestrians.
When this newspaper tried to contact, GHMC officials refused to comment on the issue.
